Clash Royale 20-Win Challenge TL;DR

  • The challenge runs October 26–November 2, 2026. Get 20 wins before losing three times to get the exclusive rewards.

  • Royal Hogs Archer Queen is the best pick of the current meta for the fast cycle players. If you already play Hog 2.6, there’s a version for you on this list, too.

  • Mortar bait, Giant Skeleton Battle Ram, and Golem beatdown are excellent options that cover siege, counterpushes, and heavier decks very well.

Best Decks for the 20-Win Challenge

Royal Hogs seems like the better pick here, but it’s an option for players who love playing cycle. Mortar, Giant Skeleton Ram, and Golem also win their games differently, so the table below shows what you’re actually signing up to play.

Deck

Average elixir

Cards

Royal Hogs Archer Queen

2.9

Evo Royal Hogs, Archer Queen, Evo Cannon, Earthquake, Ice Spirit, Royal Delivery, Skeletons, The Log

Hog 2.6 Hero Musketeer

2.6

Hog Rider, Hero Musketeer, Evo Cannon, Ice Golem, Ice Spirit, Evo Skeletons, Fireball, The Log

Mortar Cannon Cart Bait

3.6

Evo Mortar, Evo Skeleton Barrel, Cannon Cart, Hero Ice Wizard, Rascals, Goblin Gang, Fireball, Barbarian Barrel

Giant Skeleton Battle Ram

4.3

Giant Skeleton, Evo Battle Ram, Evo Elite Barbarians, Hero Wizard, Mother Witch, Zappies, Vines, Barbarian Barrel

Golem Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A

4.1

Golem, Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A, Night Witch, Phoenix, Evo Elite Barbarians, Bomber, Arrows, Evo Zap

Also make sure to check your slots after copying a deck: an Evo sitting in a normal slot won’t evolve - had this happened, and it’s extremely annoying to lose that way. The current deck-slot rules let you use the Evo Slot and Wild Slot for your two Evolutions, with the Hero or Champion in the Hero Slot.

Clash Royale 20 Win Challenge Best Decks

1. Royal Hogs Archer Queen Cycle

Royal Hogs Archer Queen Cycle Clash Royale

Cards: Royal Hogs Evolution, Archer Queen, Cannon Evolution, Earthquake, Ice Spirit, Royal Delivery, Skeletons, The Log.

Average elixir: 2.9 | Evos: Royal Hogs and Cannon | Champion: Archer Queen

An opening Ice Spirit at the bridge or Skeletons in the back lets you cycle without committing your Hogs to a highly likely counter. Once an opponent shows their buildings, you can decide whether to Earthquake it or defend and come back with another set of units. The important thing to keep in mind is that Hogs plus Earthquake costs 8 elixir. Spending that into a troop defense leaves you down a spell and probably defending a counterpush.

Against decks relying on Fireball, try a 2–2 split while both towers are healthy. An opponent can’t Fireball all four Hogs across both lanes, and you get to see what their other answer card is. Once you’ve chipped one tower low, sending all four there usually seals the deal.

Queen is expensive enough that I want to get a defense out of her before I start adding Hogs. Let her kill the enemy push, then put Hogs in front if she survives. Her ability can get way more value when defenders are already in range than when she’s walking across an empty bridge.

LavaLoon is the matchup where you’ll be forced to stop cycling Queen casually. Cannon can pull Balloon, but it won’t shoot it; Queen still has to do that job. Royal Delivery helps clear air troops with its drop, while your Recruit handles whatever is on the ground.

2. Hog 2.6 with Hero Musketeer

Hog 2.6 with Hero Musketeer Clash Royale

Cards: Hog Rider, Hero Musketeer, Cannon Evolution, Ice Golem, Ice Spirit, Skeletons Evolution, Fireball, The Log.

Average elixir: 2.6 | Evos: Cannon and Skeletons | Hero: Musketeer

Just sending the first Hog tells you a lot about what you’re dealing with. If they answer with Cannon or Tesla, watch how quickly they cycle back to it. If they use a troop, keep track of whether an Ice Golem, Ice Spirit, or a spell would help your next Hog get through. On defense, Cannon takes the pull while Musketeer shoots from a separate position. Ice Golem can drag melee units away from her, and Skeletons are in for extra cheap shots once a single-target attacker has locked onto something else. Avoid stacking troops near the Cannon since that is the biggest mistake that gives your opponent’s spells way too much value. Against air, that Musketeer often needs to survive the entire push.

Her turret gives you another defensive option, but it spawns in front of her and has short range. Musketeer’s placement therefore decides where the turret will appear; you can’t drop her anywhere and expect the ability to cover the lane. Use it where the fight is going to happen, rather than spending the elixir after the enemy has already walked past.

There’s no Earthquake here, so getting consistent Fireball value is what matters lots. What you should be trying to do is hitting a building or a defender unit together with the tower - it gets you chip damage without spending four elixir just on tower damage.

3. Mortar Cannon Cart Bait

Mortar Cannon Cart Bait Clash Royale

Cards: Mortar Evolution, Skeleton Barrel Evolution, Cannon Cart, Hero Ice Wizard, Rascals, Goblin Gang, Fireball, Barbarian Barrel.

Average elixir: 3.6 | Evos: Mortar and Skeleton Barrel | Hero: Ice Wizard

Skeleton Barrel is a useful opening probe because it makes the opposing side show what their defenses are, so remember which ones they use. Against Hog or Ram, a defensive Mortar usually gets more value than anything else we have in the deck. Pull their win condition into the middle and keep your ranged defenders out of the Fireball’s AoE. Hero Ice Wizard’s freeze is useful once the big push groups up, so save it for that moment.

The October 19 balance changes influence the playstyle and declists a lot: Cannon Cart lost 5% damage, and Evo Skeleton Barrel lost its on-death damage. The base Barrel’s death damage was buffed, so its normal cycle got better even though the evolved version took a massive hit. Other Units like Hero Ice Wizard, Evo Cannon, and Evo Skeletons were nerfed, too, making the current meta more inclusive with less broken stuff.

4. Giant Skeleton Battle Ram

Giant Skeleton Battle Ram Clash Royale

Cards: Giant Skeleton, Battle Ram Evolution, Elite Barbarians Evolution, Hero Wizard, Mother Witch, Zappies, Vines, Barbarian Barrel.

Average elixir: 4.3 | Evos: Battle Ram and Elite Barbarians | Hero: Wizard

This is the list for getting a defensive card down, then making the opponent deal with everything that survived it. A healthy Wizard or a couple of Zappies behind Ram can force a much bigger response than Ram alone. Giant Skeleton’s death bomb makes it awkward for the opponent to pile defenders into the same spot, but you have to really think about should you should use them or not.

Mother Witch is your chance to turn a defense into a counterattack. Keep her shooting small troops while Giant Skeleton tanks -her Cursed Hogs alone can force an enemy to overreact even without you spending another four elixir on Ram. Sending Ram in the opposite lane is worth trying when their main defender is occupied with your counterattacking troops. Sending everything into one lane lets a central building and splash defender handle the whole attack. Hero Wizard’s flight can help him survive ground melee defenders, but it doesn’t protect him from ranged anti-air or spells. This deck has no big spell to finish a low tower, so keeping those support troops alive matters more than squeezing in an extra Barbarian Barrel for chip.

5. Golem Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A Beatdown

Golem Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A Beatdown

Cards: Golem, Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A, Night Witch, Phoenix, Elite Barbarians Evolution, Bomber, Arrows, Zap Evolution.

Average elixir: 4.1 | Evos: Elite Barbarians and Zap | Hero: Mini P.E.K.K.A

Golem in the back costs a lot of elixir, so you have to be very careful with choosing the right moment.  8 elixir. At full elixir in single, that leaves two, which is a problem if they immediately Hog the other lane and your answer is Mini P.E.K.K.A. Before committing, you need either an elixir lead, their win condition out of cycle, or enough tower health to accept that punish. Otherwise, wait and defend first.

Mini P.E.K.K.A and E-Barbs give you counter-push options without playing Golem at all. If either survives a defense, wait for the opponent to answer it rather than immediately spending on another tank. That can draw out their swarm or tank killer before your next Golem push. Double elixir gives you more room to put a Golem in front and still afford the support he needs.

Air is the bigger concern. Phoenix and Night Witch’s Bats do the sustained air damage, and Bats disappear quickly to splash or a small spell. Adding E-Barbs behind Golem won’t help you kill a Balloon. Keep Phoenix available when that’s their win condition, and avoid putting all your support in one spell radius. I’d take this list if you already play beatdown; learning when you can afford to ignore the opposite lane is expensive during a challenge run.

Clash Royale 20-Win Challenge Rewards in 2026

We’re finally in for the most exciting part of the event. The Goblin CRL26 20-Win emote needs the full clear, but the exclusive banner decoration comes much earlier, at 2 wins. The event frame is listed at 12 wins, with Gold and Lucky Chests between the cosmetics. Overall, the rewards lineup is juicy for how quick you can clear the event.

A commemorative badge is also mentioned for 17 or more wins, but that requirement is still marked as under verification by some sources. The emote’s requirement is confirmed in Supercell’s season announcement: you need all 20 wins before your third loss.

Clash Royale 20-Win Challenge Tips

At higher wins, the matchmaking starts queuing you with harder opponents that punish your every mistake. To win more games, keep these principles in mind:

  • Track the counter you’re trying to beat. Recognize your opponent’s win condition and remember when their important building or spell was last played. Attack while that card is out of hand to get the best results.

  • Make sure your next hand is strong before committing the current one. Sending Queen or Musketeer behind a push can leave you cycling ground cards when the enemy Balloon comes down the other lane.

  • Don’t spend every spell on offense. Arrows may be what stops the next bait push; Zap may be your only Inferno reset. Sometimes tower chip can wait when losing that spell means losing the defense and taking way more damage than your opponent.

  • Take note of your losses. A replay often shows the run started falling apart before the tower dropped: a poorly used ability, a spell that missed, or extra troops spent defending a Mortar that was already dead.

Take a break after a loss if you’re feeling tilted. There’s no benefit to carrying that frustration into another game, especially at 18–2. The third loss ends the run, and a new attempt means winning your way back from zero.
