Best Weapons at Every Power Level in RS Dragonwilds
Power Level 1 - Stone Dagger (One-Handed Melee)

| Base Damage | Attack Combo | Block |
| 7 - 18 | 7 | 13 |
It’s not that you have much choice at power level 1 - two options, to be exact: Stone Dagger and Stone Club. Stone Dagger is the best pick because it feels better to use and has the seven-hit combo, which is a nice bonus. There are no magic or ranged options here, but Stone Dagger will do for now, especially if you’re a new player who’s learning the basics and how to play the game.
Power Level 2 - Goblin Swingslash (One-Handed Melee), Adventurer’s Longbow (Range), Ash Battlestaff (Magic)

Power Level 2 is where we first see the proper choice of combat styles, with ranged and magic weapons being added to the list. My personal favourite melee pick is the Goblin Swingslash due to the excellent damage (especially considering we’re still early on in the game) and five-hit combo. The only catch is the reduced durability, but all things considered, this is the best melee weapon for early game. When it comes to ranged weapons, I think Adventurer’s Longbow is the best pick for its damage, which is especially useful considering you will be hunting deer a lot early in the game. As for the magic weapons, Ash battlestaff is the best pick thanks to its heavy cast and knockdown that can give you some space in early intense fights.
Power Level 3 - Skullsplitter (One-Handed Melee), Granite Maul (Two-Handed Melee), Wild Scout Shortbow (Range), Oak Battlestaff (Magic)

| 38 - 68 | 5 | 19.5 | 66 - 96 | 4 | 32.5 | 21 | 2.8 | 4 |
Moving on to Power Level 3, we have some more better options. For one-handed melee, my winner is the Skullsplitter. It’s a really strong crush weapon with increased critical hit chance. For players who prefer heavy, two-handed options, there’s a nice addition in this power level - Granite Maul. It’s heavy and hits hard with 66 - 96 base damage and a four-hit attack combo. Then, for ranged weapons, the best pick is the Wild Scout Shortbow with a very fast draw rate that makes it stand out. Keep in mind that you do sacrifice some damage for that speed, but being able to fire off arrows that quickly more than makes up for it. When it comes to magic, Oak Battlestaff is the best pick due to its 2.8 rune damage multiplier that beats Grieving Moon Staff with its reduced critical hit that falls short.
Power Level 4 - Abysmal Whip (One-Handed Melee), Iron Greatsword (Two-Handed Melee), Blurite Crossbow (Range), Staff of Light (Magic)

| 44 - 76 | 5 | 5 | 62 - 107 | 4 | 39.5 | 37 | 4.5 | 4 |
Power Level 4 introduces iron weapons, and this is where things get really interesting. For one-handed melee, I prefer Abysmal Whip. It delivers a strong 44 - 76 damage, a seven-hit combo, and increased critical hit chance. If getting Abysmal Whip is too much work, Dragonbone Dagger is a great alternative and will get the job done. Moving on to the two-handed melee, Iron Greatsword is the best choice at power level 4 in my opinion. With this weapon, you can deal with groups of enemies, catching several of them in a single swing, and when compared to Thane's Authority, which comes really close to it with impressive damage and increased stamina cost, that really puts me off and makes me recommend Iron Greatsword instead. For range, Blurite Crossbow is my favourite thanks to the faster reload that makes it really good to use. When it comes to magic weapons, Staff of Light is the strongest pick at this stage with 4.5 rune damage multiplier. The only issue is that you need to work hard to get these weapons and grind for crafting materials. This is true not only for Staff of Light, but also for most weapons from this point.
Power Level 5 - Zombie Axe (One-Handed Melee), Steel Greatsword (Two-Handed Melee), Dorgeshuun Crossbow (Range), Necromancer's Staff (Magic)

| 79 - 140 | 5 | 26 | 81 - 141 | 4 | 39 | 97 | 5.9 | 4 |
Moving forward to Power Level 5, we have some interesting weapons here. Starting with one-handed melee my personal pick is the Zombie Axe. It’s a really strong weapon with 79 - 140 base damage and a five-hit combo with both slash and crush damage. For a two-handed melee weapon, I recommend getting Steel Greatsword for its solid damage (81 - 141) and to avoid the hassle of getting the Shadow Sword, which is an RNG weapon that offers the same stats, but has one advantage of providing increased damage against spectral enemies. Steel Greatsword is a good alternative and will get the job done. For range weapon, Dorgeshuun Crossbow is an instant pick, and honestly I don’t think I can even describe how good this weapon actually is. You just have to try it once to understand. It fires bone bolts that build up bleed. Faster shots and reload feels excellent, and 97 damage is insane for a ranged weapon at power level 5. For magic, Necromancer's Staff is a winner here for its solid 5.9 rune damage, which is ahead of the Splitbark staff, but the reduced durability is the only catch that can easily be overlooked when the whole package is excellent.
Power Level 6 - Mithril Sword (One-Handed Melee), Black Greataxe (Two-Handed Melee), Mithril Crossbow (Range), Subjugation Staff (Magic)

| 75 - 136 | 5 | 30 | 146 - 256 | 4 | 44 | 61 | 6.8 | 4 |
Next up, at Power Level 6, Mithril Sword wins as the best one-handed weapon with a solid stats (75 - 136 damage) and great move set. There are not much options, though, but Black Sword is also a good alternative one-handed weapon. For two-handed melee, I prefer the Black greataxe for its powerful heavy one-hits (146 - 256), but the trade-off is the increased stamina cost, which can easily be ignored because the damage is just too good. For ranged weapons, the Mithril crossbow is the better option compared to the Shadow crossbow. They have the same stats overall, but the Shadow crossbow gets increased weak point damage with a slower fire rate, which feels insufferable at this stage of the game, so it’s only fair to put Mithril crossbow on top of this list. For magic, Subjugation Staff and Zamorak Staff are two great options, both with a 6.8 damage multiplier, but if I were to pick one, Subjugation Staff wins because it’s more versatile. Zamorak Staff reduces all elemental spell damage and increases only burning damage, making Subjugation Staff a great all-rounder.
Power Level 7 - Masterwork Abyssal Whip (One-Handed Melee), Adamant Greatsword (Two-Handed Melee), Bow of Elidinis (Range), Obby Staff (Magic)

| 100 - 175 | 5 | 5 | 129 - 219 | 4 | 44 | 102 | 8.4 | 4 |
Next up is Power Level 7, which brings us to Adamant. For one-handed melee I prefer Masterwork Abyssal Whip because of its very solid base damage of 94 - 164 that can be upgraded further to Power Level 8 (118 – 206 base damage) using an Ascension Core. Not only that, but it also pairs beautifully with the air enchantment. Moving to two-handed weapons, Adamant Greatsword is my winner that is especially useful against groups of enemies. It hits hard and builds bleed, which makes it a very reliable choice of weapon. For ranged weapons, Bow of Elidinis takes the spot by offering a solid 102 water magic damage as well as great utility in the form of healing water orbs it can produce. On top of that, you can use its special action called Lunar Rain, which costs 6 stamina and deals great AoE damage, and the only catch is that you can’t use poison, bleed, or fire arrows with it. For magic, I recommend the Obby Staff (Toktz-Mej-Tal), which has an 8.4 room damage multiplier and increased critical hit chance, but suffers from reduced durability, which can be overlooked with magical mending.
Power Level 8 - Rune Sword (One-Handed Melee), Rune Greatsword (Two-Handed Melee), Rune Crossbow (Range), Ancestral Staff (Magic)

| 108 - 196 | 5 | 72 | 147-255 | 4 | 72 | 88 | 9.8 | 4 |
Moving forward, we have Power Level 8, which takes us to The Scorned Wilderness. Options are limited for now, but for one-handed melee, I’m choosing Rune Sword due to the move set and exceptional damage (108 - 196). For two-handed weapons, I recommend getting Rune Greatsword, and Whirlwind Slash is a big reason for that because it hits good and feels good. For ranged weapons, Rune crossbow takes the top spot with solid 88 damage and the flexibility of using different bolts, including rune and enchanted ones. For magic, it’s the Ancestral Staff that takes the top spot with an exceptional 9.8 rune damage multiplier.
Power Level 9 - Dragon Scimitar (One-Handed Melee), Dragon Crossbow (Range), Kuldra's Wrath (Magic)

| Damage | Attack Combo | Block | Damage | Rune Damage Multiplier | Attack Combo |
| 102 - 215 | 5 | 79 | 102 | 11.3 | 4 |
Last but not least is Power Level 9, which offers even less options to choose from:
-
For melee, the Dragon Scimitar is the only option for now, with 102 - 215 base damage
-
For ranged weapons, it’s the Dragon Crossbow with 102 damage
-
Kuldra's Wrath for magic, with 11.3 rune damage multiplier
This is all from me, but before ending this guide, let’s take one last look at the final RS Dragonwilds Weapons tier list:
