How Barn Finds Work in Forza Horizon 6
In FH6, Barn Finds are unlocked through the Discover Japan collection journal, not through the old wristband progression. As you complete explorationary Discover Japan activities, your stamp level increases - each new stamp tier unlocks new Barn Find rumors and marks specific search areas on your map. You can also just buy the Treasure Map microtransaction and get the progress
The important part is that the barn must be unlocked first. If you drive to a barn before reaching the required stamp level, the game will simply not let you claim the car. Only once the rumor is active can you drive into the purple search zone, trigger the cutscene, and wait for the car to be restored. Once you've claimed a Barn Find, the barn itself turns into a Gift Drop spot where you can send or receive cars from other players online.
Best Way to Unlock Barn Finds Fast in Forza Horizon 6
The fastest way to unlock Barn Finds is to focus specifically on Discover Japan progress instead of running random activities. Story Events are especially helpful for progression because they contribute toward your exploration rank, and you should mix them with Street Races, Touge Battles, and other yellow-badge activities.
Once a barn rumor appears, enter the purple search zone, slow down, and look for places where you’d hide a car, and, well, barns sitting just off the main route. Drone Mode is super useful in this step - you can find them easily and mark them up without blind driving around the spot in hopes you’ll stumble upon your ride.

These 15 cars are the full launch Barn Find set, and the last two require the Gold Master Explorer stamp before they become available.
2005 Honda NSX-R GT Barn Find Location in Ohtani

The 2005 Honda NSX-R GT is the first Barn Find you’ll unlock, since it only requires the Yellow Visitor stamp. It is a great opening reward because it fits FH6’s Japan setting perfectly with a signature branded car to start the game off. I think NSX-R GT is such an iconic car, and it feels much more special than a throwaway collectible. It actually gives the Barn Find system a strong first impression and makes you want to get more.
As for location, you’ll find the Honda NSX-R GT in Ohtani. Drive into the hills around the northwest edge of the search zone and look for the wooded area near the place where two roads almost pinch together.
1969 Toyota 2000GT Barn Find Location in Ito

The 1969 Toyota 2000GT is one of the most important classic Japanese cars in FH6, so it makes sense that it appears as a Barn Find. This barn unlocks at the Green Sightseer stamp and is located in the northern part of Ito, not far from Minka House. The barn is in a small tree-covered area near the seawall, sitting around the southeastern edge of the search zone between two paths that lead down toward the beach.
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 Barn Find Location in Ito

The 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 is a car that’s boxy, aggressive, and perfect for players who like older race-bred road cars. The Sierra unlocks at the Green Sightseer stamp and is also found in southern Ito. Look for the small wooded hill south of the crossroads on the lower edge of the search area. The barn is close enough to the road that you may spot it while passing if you are not driving too fast.
1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R Barn Find Location in Nangan

The 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R is one of the best early Japanese classics in the Barn Find list. It is not the fastest Skyline option in FH6, but it’s still great looking and is definitely worth collecting.
This barn unlocks at the Blue Traveller stamp and is found in Nangan:
-
Head toward the far southern side of the search area.
-
Once you pass the houses along the main road, watch for a dirt path leading away from the asphalt and toward the barn.
1989 Nissan Pao Barn Find Location in Minamino

The 1989 Nissan Pao is one of the more charming Barn Finds. FH6 clearly leans into the quirkier side of the Japanese car culture, and the Pao fits that side of the roster perfectly.
The barn is in Minamino, tucked into the woods near the northeast edge of the search zone. Look for a dirt path branching from the main road, then follow it into the trees until you reach the barn.
1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 Barn Find Location in Ohtani

The 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 unlocks at the Pink Pathfinder stamp. It has the classic 911 Turbo look and strong retro supercar identity. The search zone is around Ohtani and Tokyo City, but the barn itself is in the northern Ohtani section. Look for the bamboo forest beside the dirt road between the two main roads leading toward Mei’s house.
1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Barn Find Location in Shimanoyama

The 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 is a compact rally legend, and one of the better finds for players who enjoy dirt, narrow roads, and aggressive handling. It also fits the mountain-heavy parts of the map well.
This Barn Find unlocks at the Pink Pathfinder stamp and sits in Shimanoyama. Search the northeast side of the purple zone. The barn is at the end of a wide dirt road that climbs a short hill from the main road, and it is easier to spot than most barns because the area is fairly open.
1962 Lincoln Continental Barn Find Location in Hokubu

The 1962 Lincoln Continental is a huge change of pace compared to the Japanese sports cars and rally machines. It is long, heavy, and stylish, which makes it a nice garage variety pick.
This barn unlocks at the Pink Pathfinder stamp and is located in Hokubu. Search just south of the center of the purple zone. The barn sits in a patch of trees beside colorful flower fields and farmland, so use the farmland as your main visual marker.
1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R Barn Find Location in Takashiro

The 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R is one of the most exciting Barn Find rewards in FH6, at least for me. It is a proper racing icon locked behind the Pink Pathfinder stamp, and it certainly gives the Takashiro region something to make it exciting to grind the Discovery.
Search the eastern edge of the purple area in Takashiro, especially the woods between the road section that curves into a U shape. The barn is close enough to nearby routes that you can overshoot it if you stay on the road and do not check the tree line.
1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution Barn Find Location in Shimanoyama

The 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution is a great pick for players who like real off-road performance SUVs. Search the southwest edge of the purple zone in Shimanoyama. On the map, you can spot the dirt path leading from the main road toward the barn, not far from the Bandai Azuma Skyline Drift Zone challenge.
1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV Barn Find Location in Ito

The 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV is one of the flashiest cars in this list. It’s so good that it made me want to grind Ito and get that Orange stamp as soon as possible. To find it, follow the main road through the search zone until you reach the long cleared strip near the center of the area, close to a three-way junction. From there, head down the slope near the chopped trees and blue digger, then follow the bend toward the barn on the eastern side of the zone.
1998 Nissan R390 GT1 Barn Find Location in Ohtani

This barn is in Ohtani, near the northeastern edge of its search zone and close to the border with Shimanoyama. Look for the dirt path cutting through that edge of the area. You can also approach it from the main road northeast of the zone, near the Bridge Underpass Trailblazer start gate.
2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack Barn Find Location in Shimanoyama

This barn unlocks at the Purple Adventurer stamp and sits in Shimanoyama. Search almost directly in the center of the purple zone, above Narai-Juku. Take the higher dirt road from the Narai-Juku Circuit road race event, then watch for a smaller path on the right that drops toward the barn over the hill.
1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette Barn Find Location in Ito

The 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette is one of the two Gold stamp Barn Finds, so you will not get it until very late in Discover Japan progression. I’d say it’s worth the wait, though. This thing looks wild and definitely brings something different to your collection.
To get it, search the southwest edge of the purple zone in Ito. Near the western entrance to the area, look for a wide dirt path heading south toward a barn between thin trees. This is one of the easier late-game barns to spot on the map once you know what path to look for.
1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B Barn Find Location in Takashiro

The 1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B is the final Barn Find and one of the biggest rewards in the entire system - the stats are insane on that one, with 10 in braking and 8 in speed. It is a legendary race car in real life, and it makes sense that FH6 saves it for Gold Master Explorer progression.
This barn unlocks at the Gold Master Explorer stamp and is hidden in Takashiro. The area around it can be deceptive because much of the region is open, but the barn itself is in the woods north of the search area. Head past the buildings, walking trails, and farmland, then use the dirt path branching from the main road near the northwest edge of the zone.
