All Confirmed Locations in GTA 6
Open worlds in GTA games were always a main standout, but the world of GTA 6 is on a whole new level. With next gen graphics and outstanding artistic vision, Rockstar is known for, GTA 6 looks insane. But what about the scope? Compared to previous games, including GTA 5 and RDR 2, GTA 6 will feature the biggest open world in the GTA series. For the first time, we’ll be able to visit not just one city or state, but a huge city and two states in one game: Vice City, Leonida, and Gloriana. So, how about we dive deeper into all confirmed locations in GTA 6 and try to picture the full scale of the map? Let’s get to it!
Vice City

For the first time since 2002, we’ll visit a sunny Vice City. Just like before, Vice City will be based on Miami, but with the current power of hardware and limitless budget, the scale and landmarks of the city will be depicted even more accurately. A huge portion of the game will take place in the city, and it’s no surprise how much work Rockstar has put into it. It’s gonna be the biggest and most detailed city in the history of GTA. But how big is it actually? It’s hard to tell right now with the limited info that we have, but to put it into perspective, it is estimated to be roughly 2 to 3 times larger than Los Santos in GTA 5 and more than 3 times bigger than Liberty City in GTA 4. And we’re talking about the city alone, we also have a whole Leonida and Gloriana states to explore! Not to mention that it was rumored that the game will feature more than 700 enterable interiors. I don’t know about you, but coming back to Vice City alone makes me excited for GTA 6.
Vice City Beach

Vice City won’t be a good rendition of Miami without the infamous beach. We have already seen it in the trailers and other materials, and it’s safe to say that it’ll be the most accurate and crowded beach of any GTA game. Expect to see plenty of beautiful white sand stretching along the coast, packed with NPCs soaking up the sun. Also, let’s not forget about the iconic Ocean Beach that will be featured in the game. I can already imagine how insane all the neon lights will look with the next level graphics of GTA 6.
Vice City International Airport (VCIA) & Vice City Sign

One of the signature locations of GTA games - the International Airport will appear in GTA 6. We didn’t see much of it, but judging by the level of realism, it’s safe to say that the scale and look of it will be much closer to Miami International Airport. But unlike VCIA, what we had a good look at already is the Vice City Sign. It is located near the runways at the Vice City International Airport in Vice-Dale County. The sign is actually a nod to a fictional "Miami" sign prop that appeared in movies filmed in Florida from the mid-90s,
Downtown Vice City

Just like an airport, having a Downtown area with skyscrapers is a must for any GTA game. Downtowns always make the skyline look more memorable, and GTA 6 is no exception. We can already see some of the game versions of signature buildings in Miami, including:

Port Vice City (PortViceCity)

A major seaport located in a south Leonida bay in Vice City, based on PortMiami. It was featured in the first trailer, where we can see cranes of the port's quaysides actively loading and unloading containers from the container ship docked at the port. In some other screenshots, we can also see a docked cruise ship, which will be its first-ever appearance in the GTA series.
Tequesta

Tequesta is a neighborhood in Vice City, based on the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. The name itself is derived from the Native American Tequesta tribe, which once inhabited the southeastern coast of Florida. Some of the confirmed buildings are:
-
Lombank Building (inspired by the BB&T Building)
-
Condominium Complex (based on Brickell on the River Condominium Complex)
Stockyard

Stockyard is a neighborhood located in Vice City, and is based on the art sub-district of Wynwood in Miami. From what was shown, we can speculate that this area will feature car culture, with one of the car meeting was shown in the first trailer. A few buildings that we’ve seen are:
-
Archez Footwear & Clothing store
-
Marco Wholesale Footwear
La Perle

This GTA 6 location is directly inspired by the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami. We can see a lot of Haitian-themed murals in trailers and screenshots, and also we can see hints of criminal activities. It suggests that there will be a gang or multiple gangs operating in La Perle. Some confirmed points of interest include:
-
Haitian-American Cultural Center
-
La Perle Caribbean Market
-
Auto Repair Shop
-
Warehouse
State of Leonida
Leonida Keys

Leonida Keys in GTA 6 is based on the Florida Keys. Just like its real-life counterpart, Leonida Keys is often called as “Gateway to Paradise” and there’s no better way to describe it. It looks beautiful with lots of foliage, crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and massive bridges stretching into the horizon. Underwater exploration is already confirmed, so we’ll also see rich underwater environments teeming with life, including coral reefs, sea turtles, sharks, and dolphins. Leonida Keys is shaping up to be one of the most beautiful locations Rockstar has ever built. It also seems like Jason's house, one of the main protagonists of the game, is located in Leonida Keys, so we won’t have to wait too long to see its beauty.
Grassrivers

Grassrivers is an in-game depiction of the famous wetlands of Florida. This region can be described as an “untamable part of Leonida” with its mysterious swamps that are teeming with gators, hideouts, and even weirder discoveries among the mangroves. I can already tell that most mysteries that GTA 6 will feature will be connected to Grassrivers in some way.
Port Gellhorn

This location can be described as Leonida’s forgotten coast. It was once a popular tourist region, but now there are only cheap motels, shut-down attractions, and empty strip malls. Port Gellhorn is primarily based on the Panama City / Panama City Beach region on Florida's Gulf Coast. It is a strong contrast to the neon-lit luxury of Vice City. Expect to see a lot of crime in this region, as well as a representation of Dirt Bike & ATV Culture.
A fun fact: Port "Gellhorn" is a likely homage to Martha Gellhorn, an American novelist, war journalist, and third wife of Ernest Hemingway.
Ambrosia

The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here. Ambrosia is an industrial center of Leonida with old-school values, and bikers still reign supreme. From what we know, I think we should expect the most of gang wars happening in this region with the strongest biker and conservative representation in all of Leonida. This area will also include Lake Leonida - an in-game rendition of the real-world Lake Okeechobee. Ambrosia itself is primarily based on Clewiston, Florida.
Mount Kalaga

Even though most of Leonida is flat, just like real Florida, there will still be a rocky region with a lot of beautiful vegetation on the northern border. The region was inspired by the northern Florida/southwest Georgia border region. For example, the river that was featured in some materials is most likely a depiction of the Suwannee River, which flows through southern Georgia and northern Florida. We can expect to see a lot of outdoor activities here, like fishing and hunting.
State of Gloriana

We don’t know much about Gloriana yet, but judging from the trailers and leaks, at least some part of it will be featured in GTA 6. Gloriana is based on the real-world state of Georgia. We’ve already seen a car plate from this region, and while still unconfirmed, some footage and screenshots were probably captured in Gloriana. From what I can tell, it’ll be a reddish rocky region with lots of nature that was most likely inspired by Providence Canyon State Park in southwest Georgia. Gloriana, with its vertical, eroded clay landscape, strikes a good contrast to the flat wetlands of Leonida.
But wrapping up this guide of all confirmed locations, let’s take a look at the fan-made map project that was made based on all info we know. It will give us a full picture of what to expect. You can explore the map yourself. It’s available here: https://map.stateofleonida.net/
