ARC Raiders Pendola Pass Map Guide

Pendola Pass takes raiders into a frozen mountain valley. You’ll explore an abandoned Italian village, railway infrastructure, and a huge fallen Emperor. In this Pendola Pass map guide, I'll cover the main areas, where I'd prefer to loot, and what to know before heading aboard the Frigate.

Pendola Pass Map Guide TL;DR

  • Loot value changes between raids, but each area's loot category stays the same.

  • Fallen Emperor requires an Emperor Gateway Conduit to enter and is a destination for rare ARC technology and weapon amplification progression.

  • Cielo Sereno Observatory and Loading Platforms are worth considering for Exodus loot.

  • Commissary Supermarket and Old Town offer alternatives for regular scavenging.

  • Flash Freeze is part of the map's weather. Avalanche Shelters open as it approaches and contain loot.

  • The Frigate is a boarding and sabotage encounter. Prepare for ARC and other Raiders inside.

Pendola Pass Map Overview

Pendola Pass mixes village buildings with railway and research sites, all beneath the husk of an enormous Emperor. The layout has lots of verticality to it, so distance on the map only tells you part of the story. From what I’ve experienced, a visibly close destination can still force you to find a ladder to climb it or some convoluted pathway through it, making travel time a bit unpredictable, at least until you learn the layout of areas well. Major named areas and their loot categories are:

Area

Loot category

Fallen Emperor

ARC

Old Town

Old World, Residential

Loading Platforms

Exodus, Industrial

Railyard

Industrial, Mechanical

Commissary Supermarket

Commercial, Medical

Almatera Station

Commercial

Railroad Junction

Electrical, Mechanical

Cielo Sereno Observatory

Exodus, Technological

Deep Space Telescope

Exodus

If you're after Exodus materials, the observatory and loading platforms have lots of possible spawn places.

How Pendola Pass Dynamic Loot Zones Work

Pendola Pass uses dynamic loot zones, meaning an area's loot value can change from one raid to the next. Of course, its category stays fixed, so a Residential area gets you valuables and cloth even when its value changes. But this system makes you check the current’s lobby map markings before choosing a destination, and you won’t have to force the same location from match to match. This way, a game feels much more dynamic and fresh.

My advice is to remember several profitable locations and choose between them after spawning. Especially early on, just check 1-2 named areas and extract to avoid too much resource exploration in unfamiliar zones. A familiar route is handy, but I wouldn't cross the map for yesterday's high-value area without checking today's markings first.

Best Places to Loot in Pendola Pass

Pendola Pass has several worthwhile loot areas, but the best destination depends on what exactly you're farming. Fallen Emperor is the priority for amplification progression, and observatory and railway locations cover different crafting materials. Check the current loot-value markings before committing to a long trip, since value changes between raids.

#1. Fallen Emperor

Fallen Emperor Arc Raiders POI

Fallen Emperor is the main destination for rare ARC technology and one of the sources of Amplification Modules, alongside the Frigate. You need an Emperor Gateway Conduit to unlock the entrance and explore the wreck's interior, so check that you have the key before making it your main objective.

I'd dedicate a few runs to this location specifically, since trying to squeeze it into an already busy loot route is pretty hard. Make sure to bring enough ammunition and healing to finish exploring and possible PvP, keep track of your way out, and leave space and weight for the materials you came for. Once you've secured an Amplification Module, getting it home should take priority over searching another area. Even though there’s an extraction point right next to the Emperor, you still need a lot of time just to get out of the husk, so take that into consideration, especially later in the round.

#2. Cielo Sereno Observatory

Cleio Sereno Observatory Arc Raiders POI

Cielo Sereno Observatory has Exodus and Technological loot, making it a useful destination for crafting and farming project materials. Deep Space Telescope is another Exodus location to consider looting instead of it, giving you an alternative when the observatory doesn't fit your route or sounds too busy with other raiders.

Look at the map’s current value markings and distance from your spawn before choosing to loot this place, though. Personally, I'd prioritize the location that lets me search the right loot category and reach an extraction without crossing half the map.

#3. Loading Platforms

Loading Platforms Arc Raiders POI

Loading Platforms combines Exodus and Industrial loot, so it's worth checking when you need both. Railyard has Industrial and Mechanical loot to find, and Railroad Junction mostly gets you Electrical and Mechanical items. Together, these railway locations give you several options for material farming placed conveniently close by. Choose your destination around the items your project needs. Once your shopping list is complete, don’t be too greedy and head toward one of two extractions nearby.

#4. Commissary Supermarket

Commissary Supermarket Arc Raiders POI

Commissary Supermarket has Commercial and Medical loot, making it a useful stop for scavenging valuables and medical materials. Listen carefully before entering and identify an exit before committing to a long search. For some reason, players seem to be drawn here like flies, and a supermarket run becomes much less profitable when you spend all your healing trying to find the exit.

#5. Old Town

Old Town Arc Raiders POI

Old Town has lots of Old World and Residential loot to find. It's a good place to focus a village scavenging run, especially when those categories match your crafting or project requirements. Keep track of the streets you've crossed and the exits you've passed so you can leave without retracing the entire route. Check interiors carefully, since these buildings sometimes have lots of players in them.

Best Loot Route in Pendola Pass

The best Pendola Pass loot route is based on the place you’re spawned in, the current high-value locations, and the materials you need. Choose a main named destination and an extraction, then add a second stop if you still have enough weight capacity and slots available. Flash Freeze also makes shelter access important when planning longer crossings. In short, use these priorities to plan your route:

  • Valuables scavenging: Choose between Old Town, Commissary Supermarket, and Almatera Station based on distance and current loot value.

  • Crafting materials: Search Loading Platforms, Railyard, or Railroad Junction according to the categories your project requires.

  • Exodus materials: Compare Cielo Sereno Observatory, Deep Space Telescope, and Loading Platforms, then prioritize the most convenient worthwhile stop.

  • Amplification progression: Bring an Emperor Gateway Conduit for a Fallen Emperor run, or make the Frigate your main objective and bring supplies for that encounter.

My advice is to extract once you've secured the items you came for; getting too greedy often makes you lose all you have.

How to Survive Flash Freeze

Flash Freeze is a weather mechanic built into Pendola Pass. Localized freezes force exposed Raiders to seek protection, and Avalanche Shelters open as a freeze approaches. These shelters also contain loot, so other players have a reason to head toward the same entrance. Learn where you can take cover before starting a long crossing. When a freeze approaches:

  1. Stop looting and move toward nearby shelter.

  2. Respond to the warning early, so you have time to reach protection.

  3. Check the entrance and interior for other Raiders.

  4. Stay protected until it's safe to continue.

Some doors are frozen shut. Melt the ice with a fire source such as Flame Spray, or break through with your Raider Tool.

Pendola Pass Extraction Points

Pendola Pass introduces the Ballistic Gondola, an extraction you call in and board when it arrives. It holds up to three Raiders, so your squad needs to be ready to board together roughly at the same time. Raider Hatches provide another classic option if you're carrying a Hatch Key.

Pendola Pass Enemies

Bully, Skulker, and Hydra are the new ARC threats to learn on Pendola Pass. Bully presses your position hard, similarly to the Leaper; Skulker is a stalking turret, and Hydra is a powerful ARC that can engage several Raiders at once. Familiar ARC also share the map with these newcomers.

ARC

What to Expect

How to Defeat

Bully

Fast, aggressive ground enemy that closes in and pressures your position

Use cover while keeping room to reposition.

Skulker

Opportunistic enemy that attacks, retreats, and catches distracted Raiders

Keep track of it when it retreats, and check your surroundings before focusing on another target.

Hydra

Three-section turret aboard the Frigate that can engage multiple Raiders

Break line of sight, attack from cover, and coordinate with your squad.

The biggest mistake I'd avoid is focusing on one enemy so completely that you lose track of everything around it; Skulker is especially dangerous if you take your eyes off him carelessly.
