Sprites are being pushed as the main gimmick of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, and, as you may’ve already noticed, some of them are way stronger than others. In this guide, I’ll rank the best Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 and explain which ones are actually worth extracting.

Best Sprites in Fortnite TL;DR

  • Zero Point Sprite is the best defensive Sprite because it gives you a Shield Bubble Jr. for up to 10 seconds while healing.
  • Demon Sprite is the best aggressive Sprite because siphon after eliminations has huge value.
  • Boss Sprite is one of the best raw stat picks because it increases maximum health and shields.
  • Grim Reaper Sprite is good for punishing players who shoot you first.
  • Striker Sprite is great for mobility-heavy players because it grants Overdrive after mantling, hurdling, or wall scrambling.
  • Burnt Peanut Sprite is the best loot Sprite, but it is also one of the rarest.
  • Sprites level up through match actions like exploring, eliminations, and surviving Storm circles, and stronger levels mean better perks - here’s a full system overview.

Best Fortnite Sprites Tier List

Best Fortnite Sprites Tier List

Here’s my current Sprite ranking for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. As you can see, actual value can mismatch the in-game rarity drastically - in real situations, a rare Sprite that consistently helps every fight can be way better than a much rarer one.

Tier

Sprites

S-Tier

Zero Point Sprite, Demon Sprite, Boss Sprite

A-Tier

Grim Reaper Sprite, Striker Sprite, Ghost Sprite

B-Tier

Aura Sprite, Dream Sprite, Earth Sprite, Fire Sprite, Burnt Peanut Sprite

C-Tier

Water Sprite, Fishy Sprite, Duck Sprite, Punk Sprite

D-Tier

King Sprite

Fight-oriented sprites are the ones that actually win you games. That’s why Zero Point, Demon, and Boss sit at the top - their EHP and sustain bonuses are too good to pass on.

I’ve decided to value lot-focused Sprites like Earth, Dream, and Burnt Peanut lower because while they can occasionally get you a good loadout, decent loot is really not that hard to come by. Now let’s go over the S- and A-Tier sprites in detail.

S-Tier Fortnite Sprites

Zero Point Sprite

Even if you haven't played much this season, you probably heard of Zero Point Sprite. It spawns a Shield Bubble Jr. when you heal, which is huge for resetting your health and shields during fights. It helps in every situation in the game where you take too much damage and want to reset, so it’s no wonder everyone seems to want to get it.

Demon Sprite

Demon Sprite is the best aggressive pick for getting crazy elim numbers. It gives health and shield siphon after eliminations, and siphon has always been one of the strongest mechanics in Fortnite; having that extreme sustain for basically not doing anything is invaluable. Demon can give up to 30 health or shield per elimination when leveled to Level 5, which makes non-stop fighting a much more viable strategy than it’d otherwise be. But if you don’t win fights, Demon does nothing.

Boss Sprite

Boss Sprite increases your maximum health and shields, which is obviously extremely OP in 1v1s. I had hundreds of situations when an opponent survived at 1 HP, and using the Boss makes it so that you’re that survivor in more fights than without it.

Boss Sprites are also relatively easy to get since you can deterministically get them after defeating any bosses.  That’s why it’s good - it’s basically free value that is easy to get and sustain from game to game.

Grim Reaper Sprite

Grim Reaper Sprite marks players who attack you for a short time. Marking enemies is always a very powerful effect, no matter the source. It lets you preaim without the enemy seeing you, decide whether to push or heal, ETC - information wins fights.

Striker Sprite

Striker Sprite grants Overdrive when you mantle, hurdle, or wall scramble. In builds, it’s insane, and in Zero build it’s still decent whenever you fight anywhere but open spaces. Movement if something we use all the time, and getting Overdrive just for doing something you’d do anyway is super useful.

Ghost Sprite

Ghost Sprite gives you a Cloak effect after reloading. Invisibility is one of the most confusing things you can possibly pull off in a fight, so this Sprite is great in 1v1s on mid-to-long ranges. You can either use it on command or just conceal yourself whenever your mag is actually getting empty, so there’s a cool interactivity and decision-making going on when you run this sprite. Ghost Sprites can be found just by wandering the island at night, so they are super common and don’t require you to go out of your way or risk using rarer Sprites.

How to Find the Best Sprites

Sprites can appear through different loot sources, but Sprite Chests are the most reliable way to get the rarer ones. You deterministically get one whenever you open the chest, and it might actually be one of the rarer ones. Some of the other best ways to find Sprites are:

  1. Open Sprite Chests.

  2. Fight bosses for Boss Sprite.

  3. Search at night for Ghost Sprite.

  4. Score at Soccer Pitch for Striker Sprite.

  5. Eliminate players carrying rare Sprites.

A great decision to make is to play on Mastery Monday - every Monday, Epic doubles Legendary/Mythic Sprite chest spawn rates and Sprite Dust payouts for 24 hours. If Burnt Peanut or a Zero Point is your target, this is your best bet.

Sprites Extraction Priority

If you’re done building your collection and just looking for the most valuable Sprites that meaningfully impact your gameplay, I’d use this order when deciding which Sprites to extract:

Priority

Sprite

Why

1

Zero Point Sprite

Best overall defensive value

2

Demon Sprite

Best aggressive sustain

3

Boss Sprite

Strong raw survival boost

4

Grim Reaper Sprite

Great info and anti-third-party value

5

Striker Sprite

Strong movement tempo

6

Ghost Sprite

Good stealth utility

Just don’t get caught up in the hoarding loop. It’s okay to lose the Sprites from time to time, so make sure you have fun using them and don’t just have them sitting there on your acc.
