Best Gear Sets in Raid Shadow Legends 2026

Character collections are cool and all, but Gear becomes the real grind if you’re into clearing the hardest content. In this guide, I’ll cover the best gear sets in Raid Shadow Legends in 2026, explain why players actually value them, and separate the sets worth chasing from the ones you should not waste your time and resources farming.

Best Raid Shadow Legends Gear Sets TL;DR

  • Speed and Perception are still the most reliable progression sets.

  • Savage, Lethal, Merciless, and Slayer are the main damage sets worth chasing.

  • Stone Skin remains one of the most important Arena sets because it lets key champions survive the opening turn.

  • Protection is elite for buff-heavy Hydra and support champions.

  • Bolster is one of the safest defensive sets for progression.

  • Regeneration is still amazing for Scarab King, Doom Tower, and difficult PvE content.

  • Feral, Supersonic, Pinpoint, and Mercurial are strong newer variable sets, but they are more account-dependent.

  • Good stats beat set bonuses. A bad Merciless set is not better than excellent Savage, Lethal, Perception, or broken-set gear.

How Gear Sets Work in Raid Shadow Legends

Raid gear is split between Artifacts and Accessories slots. Every champion can equip six Artifacts: Weapon, Helmet, Shield, Gauntlets, Chestplate, and Boots. They can also equip three Accessories: Ring, Amulet, and Banner.

Gear sets can require different numbers of pieces to activate their effects. Some use classic 2-piece or 4-piece bonuses, while newer premium sets use variable 1-9 piece bonuses. Stone Skin, Pinpoint, and several other modern sets become stronger as you equip more pieces. The official gear overview lists these newer variable sets as some of Raid’s major endgame gear categories.

I think that the most important part you need to understand is that set bonuses are not magic and stats matter just as much, if not more. A champion with the right Speed, Accuracy, Resistance, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, HP, or DEF will usually perform better than a champion forced into a shiny set with terrible rolls. Community gear discussions still come back to this exact point, especially for mid-game players trying to decide if a full set is worth sacrificing better stats.

Best Gear Sets in Raid Shadow Legends Ranked

The ranking considers how valuable each set is across different activities, from PvE to PvP. Availability counts, too, since the set that’s easy to get early on will be useful for longer. Remember, a powerful set means very little when your pieces have terrible stat rolls.

Tier

Gear Sets

S-Tier

Speed, Perception, Stone Skin, Merciless, Lethal, Protection

A-Tier

Savage, Slayer, Bolster, Regeneration, Reflex, Feral, Supersonic

B-Tier

Relentless, Righteous, Defiant, Pinpoint, Mercurial, Stun, Cruel, Immortal

C-Tier

Lifesteal, Shield, Guardian, Instinct, Zeal, Impulse, Bloodthirst

D-Tier

Destroy, Toxic, Cursed, Retaliation, Taunting, Fury, Avenging

I am not ranking these sets purely by their theoretical ceiling. Otherwise, S-Tier would be packed with rare late-game gear that half the player base barely owns in usable rolls.

S-Tier Gear Sets Explained

Speed fixes the most universal problem in Raid: your champions are not taking enough turns and take them too late to matter. You need it for so many things - from Arena openers to revive in time or cleanse a lethal debuff. The 2-piece activation bonus also makes Speed incredibly flexible. You can stack three sets, pair one with Perception or Righteous, or use two strong Speed pieces to finish a build.

Perception gives debuffers two stats they almost always need: Speed and Accuracy. That makes it one of the best sets to farm and craft throughout the entirety of the game. It works on decrease DEF champions, provokers, and Hydra supports without forcing you to patch their stats together through several sets. Strong Perception pieces also age better than most progression gear. Speed, Accuracy, Resistance, HP%, and DEF% rolls can remain useful for years.

Stone Skin is one of the defining Arena sets because it gives important champions time to participate in the fight. Heroes like Duchess, Marichka, or Mithrala often need that one extra round surviving that can completely reverse a fight. Sure, the set doesn’t work on its own - your champion still needs enough Speed, survivability, and damage underneath it. Strippers, control, burns, and other Stone Skin counters can expose weak builds that went all-in on def fairly quickly.

Merciless is the premium damage set for players trying to juice nukers and boss killers as much as possible.  Depending on how many pieces you equip, it can provide offensive stats, Speed, Ignore DEF, cooldown reduction, and extra-turn potential. That combination is ridiculous on champions who already hit hard and gain a lot from cycling back to their strongest skills faster.

Lethal gives nukers exactly what they want - Crit Rate and Ignore DEF stats. The additional Crit Rate makes builds easier to balance out than Savage, especially when you are trying to reach 100% Crit Rate without sacrificing Crit Damage, Speed, or the champion’s main damage stat.

Protection earns its S-Tier position through the amount of value it brings to buff-heavy teams. Protected buffs are harder for enemies to remove, which is particularly useful in Hydra and long PvE fights. The set works brilliantly on champions who place several important buffs and need those effects to stay active. Protection is not purely defensive, either - in Hydra, it helps stabilize the team while supporting your damage dealers and improving the value of buffs you were already bringing. That versatility makes it one of the best premium support sets to invest in.

Best Support Gear Sets

Support champions do not all want the same gear. A fast Arena opener, Hydra buffer or a go-second reviver - all of them have completely different jobs and need different stats to perform best.

Support Role

Best Sets

Turn Meter boosters and Arena openers

Speed, Supersonic, Righteous

Debuffers and control champions

Perception, Feral, Pinpoint

Buff-heavy Hydra supports

Protection, Reflex, Righteous

Go-second supports and revivers

Stone Skin, Bolster, Righteous

High-Resistance cleansers

Righteous, Stone Skin, Supersonic

PvE carry supports

Regeneration, Defiant, Immortal

Wave-control supports

Stun, Perception, Speed

Supersonic becomes more attractive once you own pieces that can compete with your best Speed gear. Righteous is another great alternative when your champion needs both Speed and enough Resistance to avoid being controlled.

Best Damage Gear Sets

Depending on your character type, you’ll be best off using a specific set. Here are per-role set recommendations:

Set

Best Use

Merciless

Endgame nukers and boss damage dealers

Lethal

Arena and PvE nukers

Savage

General damage dealers and progression nukers

Slayer

AoE nukers and wave-clear champions

Cruel

ATK-based champions and Clan Boss filler

Zeal

Opening nukers that remain at high HP

Instinct

Faster damage builds without premium gear

I have to stress that Cruel and Instinct sets are best used as useful stepping stones while you’re farming better gear. They can finish strong early to mid game builds, but they rarely replace premium Ignore DEF sets when the roll quality is equal.

Best Gear Sets by Game Mode

I can’t say that you can build a certain game mode by gear alone, but some modes clearly want you using specific gear. Bear in mind that the champion’s role still comes first. Hydra does not automatically make Protection a correct choice for your damage dealer, and Arena does not mean every champion needs Stone Skin set bonus.

Game Mode

Recommended Sets

Campaign Farming

Speed, Savage, Lethal, Slayer

Dragon

Speed, Perception, Regeneration, Reflex

Fire Knight

Savage, Lethal, Merciless, Reflex, Relentless

Ice Golem

Use the table to narrow your options, then build around what that champion needs to accomplish.

Best Gear Sets For Beginner Accounts

Early accounts need functional stats more than premium set bonuses; you want your farming to get going as soon as possible. Prioritize:

  • Speed

  • Perception

  • Accuracy

  • Crit Rate

  • Regeneration

  • Stun

  • Immortal

  • Shield

  • Savage once you can farm it reliably

Lifesteal is also very useful but becomes available a bit later into the game. The main rule for beginners is do not pour endless Silver into mediocre pieces with suboptimal stats.

Gear Set Upgrade Priority

Since our resources are very limited, you can’t just waste them on bad sets. There’s a clear priority as to which sets are worth the investment:

Priority

Gear Set

Main Reason

1

Speed

Almost every account needs faster champions

2

Perception

Combines Speed and Accuracy for debuffers

3

Savage or Lethal

Core Ignore DEF options for nukers

4

Stone Skin

Protects Arena teams through the opening turn

5

Protection

Strengthens buff-heavy Hydra and support teams

6

Regeneration

Enables solo builds and difficult PvE clears

7

Bolster

Gives teams immediate opening protection

8

Merciless(after the bug fix)

Offers one of the highest premium damage ceilings

9

Slayer

Becomes ridiculous on strong AoE attackers

10

Feral or Supersonic

Powerful but specialized endgame utility
