For most players, getting rich, buying all the cars, and businesses is an end goal in GTA Online. But what if I tell you that there are items that can help you in reaching this goal faster? The thing is, not all stuff you’d probably want to buy is that good or even helpful. Some of them can lowkey be draining your money like Document Forgery or Arena Workshop, others are just shiny things you’d want for flexing your status, like the yacht, golden jet, etc. To help you out spend more wisely, here are the 10 most helpful items you must own in GTA Online, especially if you’re a solo player. They will make your life in Los Santos much easier. Let’s get to it!

1. Bulletproof Helmet

Usually, clothing in GTA Online is purely cosmetic and doesn’t give any gameplay advantage. But Bulletproof Helmet is one of the few exceptions. It costs $20,000, can be purchased at any clothing store, and provides protection from headshots. Wearing it will help you survive from what would normally be a lethal shot. It is especially useful for new players when they are trying to figure everything out with trolls and griefers running around. Not to mention countless missions where this helmet will come in handy many times. Also, if you wear a Bulletproof Helmet, it will still protect you even from front-facing shots, despite the fact that the face area looks open in game. 2. Quad Lens Thermal Helmet

Another rare clothing item in GTA Online that provides a gameplay advantage. Quad Lens Thermal Helmet offers the same ballistic protection as Bulletproof Helmet, but with additional thermal vision ability. You can use it with any weapon, regardless of whether that gun has a thermal scope attachment or not. The only downside is that Quad Lens Thermal Helmet is much more expensive than regular Bulletproof Helmet. The cheapest variant is the Brown Quad Lens that costs $77050. 3. Up-n-Atomizer

You’re probably wondering now why this thing is even on the list? Let me explain. Have you ever had your delivery vehicle stuck on a random rock? Or a big truck getting stuck on the half wall? For me personally, situations like these happened often. Maybe even too often to the point of being insufferable. This is where Up-n-Atomizer comes in handy. It will get any weapon unstuck in a moment. It blasts the shock waves, and it doesn’t matter how big the vehicle is. Whether it’s a small car, a big truck, or even a plane, there’s nothing this gun can’t move. Up-n-Atomizer can also be used to knock down fences that vehicles cannot. That’s the main purpose. But you can also just have fun with it and troll players, for example. It costs $399,000 and can only be purchased from Gun Van if in stock.

4. Combat MG Mk II

Now moving from the “toy gun” to real firepower. Combat MG Mk II is one of the best and most versatile weapons in GTA Online. It costs $119,000  to get a Combat MG converter to Mk II at the Weapon Workshop, but it’s totally worth it in my opinion. It’s already good on its own, but you can also upgrade it with 200 rounds Extended Clip, attach a Scope, a Muzzle Brake, and it’ll be absolutely unstoppable. It will melt enemies in seconds. Need some anti-vehicle capabilities? No problem! Just load FMJ rounds and watch cars getting demolished to pieces. As I said, it’s very versatile and highly recommended for buying.

5. Assault Shotgun

Assault Shotgun is another beast of a weapon. Personally, I found myself using this gun the most and feeling absolutely unstoppable. To top it all up, upgrade it with 32 rounds Extended clip, attach grip, suppressor if you like, and just go blast your enemies. Everything you see in that direction will be absolutely destroyed. That’s just how good Assault Shotgun is in GTA Online. What’s more surprising is how cheap it actually is compared to other weapons. It costs $10,000 and can be bought from any Ammu-Nation. Keep in mind that it unlocks at Rank 37, so if you’re a new player, you need to work a bit to get it. But in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it!

6. Oppressor Mk II

Next up is notorious Oppressor Mk II. Even though it’s a controversial vehicle for many different reasons, you can’t deny how good and versatile it is. It’s fast, compact, can fly, and has insane firepower. It may not be as fast as some other vehicles, but the big difference here is that you don’t need roads to travel Los Santos with Oppressor Mk II. It’s also so compact that you can land on any roof, fly through narrow alleyways, and other small spaces. What’s more is that it always spawns close to you, so you can take off right away and travel across the map in just a few minutes. Oppressor Mk II sure is a jack of all trades and one of the most useful vehicles you can have in GTA Online. It costs $8,000,000 (base price), the trade price is a $6,000,000, and it can be purchased on the Warstock Cache & Carry website.

7. Terrorbyte

Terrorbyte is an excellent investment in GTA Online, especially if you’re a solo player trying to grind money. It functions as a mobile command center to source crates/vehicles, resupply businesses on the go, and run client jobs. Speaking of client jobs. If you do 5 of them, you’ll get that trade price for Oppressor Mk II of $6,000,000, which is a solid bonus. Not only that, but you will need Terrorbyte to modify your Oppressor because it gives access to a special workshop. It costs between $1,375,000 and $3,459,500, depending on customization choices, and honestly, it’s an absolute must-have for solo players. 8. Auto Shop

Speaking of businesses, Auto Shop is another great investment. For starters, It will give you access to the mod shop where you can modify your cars with all upgrades available right away. It means you don’t have to grind for the necessary rank to unlock them all, which is a good bonus. On top of that, you’ll get a 5% discount on every single performance modification and customization. It will save you a lot of money in the long run. Plus, for some quick side hustles, you’ll get access to car deliveries and exotic exports that will boost your total profit with this business. Quick tip: Make sure to buy a nice tuner car for your auto shop. I recommend buying Calico GTF because it will speed up your Auto Shop contracts, and it’s also one of the best cars for tuner car racing.

9. The Agency

Agency is another great business for solo players that has some surprises up its sleeves. First of all, the cheapest building at Little Seoul costs just $2,010,000. It comes with a safe that collects passive income while you can do Dr Dre VIP contracts that come with the Agency. Completing VIP contracts will reward you with a solid $1,000,000, and they’re just fun to play. Also, unlike, for example, Cayo Perico heists, you can do these contracts more consistently because the cooldown is just 48 minutes. At this point, you can already see how good this deal is. But the Agency’s benefits don’t end here. You get Mk II armory, which, until the Mansions DLC, was one of a kind. But the thing is that a fully upgraded Agency with Armory, Vehicle Workshop, and Accommodation will cost you around $5.500.000, which is a lot cheaper than a mansion. Also, as a side note, you can request any helicopter for $200 (for example, the fast SuperVolito Carbon) and stash it away in your own hangar (if you have one). Then you can later call it as a personal vehicle for free. For new players it’s also a great deal. It bypasses all requirements and gives you access to Super Heavy Armor, which is the best protection, and you can get it early on in the game. The Agency also gives you a free fast travel in the form of SUV Service if you still don’t have a fast vehicle. So yeah, definitely save up and buy the Agency as quickly as possible. You won’t regret it!

10. Mansion

The ultimate endgame purchase. Mansions are one of the latest additions to GTA Online, and players still can’t get over them. Yes, they’re expensive, with the cheapest The Tongva Estate mansion being $11,500,000 ($8,500,500 with contact missions discount) without any upgrades. But honestly, it’ll absolutely get the job done! With the master control terminal, you’ll be able to manage all your businesses in one place. Mansion also gives you access to fast travel, as well as a game-changing production boost that drastically increases the production speed of one of your businesses. Basically, your businesses will churn stock at 3x speed.
