WoW Forever PvP Tier List TL;DR
-
Battlegrounds: Discipline Priest, Frost Mage, and Restoration Druid take the S-Tier - hearts for the amounts they can restore and how well they support the flag carrier, and Frost thanks to its insane CC potential.
-
World PvP: Beast Mastery Hunter, Subtlety Rogue, and Frost Mage are the strongest solo picks if you enjoy ganking or getting out of ganks victorious.
-
Duels: Demonology Warlock and Discipline Priest are the hardest opponents to wear down 1x1.
-
Arms Warrior is underwhelming solo, but improves a lot with a healer by his side. Its lower solo rankings don’t tell you how dangerous it can be in a coordinated group.

WoW Forever Battlegrounds Tier List

When we’re looking at the BGs meta, a healer keeping teammates alive usually contributes to the winning score more than another player chasing damage. That’s why Disc and Resto Druid rank so highly here, alongside the Frost’s ability to stop an entire group of enemies from moving. Damage specs still have plenty of room to shine, too: Hunters punish anyone crossing open ground, and Warlocks make it impossible to stand around a contested flag. Arms also belongs much higher here than in solo play, provided someone keeps it alive and helps it reach the target and stay on it for long enough.

Discipline Priest
Disc is the healer you want backing you up when you’re getting jumped. Shield buys time, then Penance reliably restores a bunch of health once a 2-second channel goes through. Offensive Dispel Magic also either helps to save a teammate or secure kills by stripping enemies’ buffs.
Frost Mage
Frost can stop the players chasing your carrier, Polymorph a healer, and help burst the kill target - all in one kit. Those things are what win BGs even when they don’t put you first on the damage meters. Ice Lance now shares an 8-second cooldown with Fire Blast, so you can’t use both back-to-back; save that instant damage for a target you can actually finish. Blizzard covers that change in its launch notes.
Restoration Druid
Resto is very good at following a carrier without stopping all its healing whenever it has to move. Put HoTs up before the next crossing, then use forms and terrain to stay out of trouble. Wild Growth has a cast time, so don’t expect it to rescue a moving group instantly. Your HoTs can also be dispelled; sometimes you need to stop and land a direct heal.
Arms deserves an honorable mention even outside the S-Tier. Mortal Strike cuts healing received by 50%, giving your whole team a better chance of killing your target. Without heals and dispels behind you, though, it’s almost impossible to do anything with the amount of CC you’re going to be hit with.
WoW Forever World PvP Tier List

Solo world PvP is all about being able to either jump on your targets or get away from them. Having some sort of stealth, tracking, and an escape ability is what makes a spec good in World PvP. Hunters and Rogues are the ones that come to mind right away - their kit lets them choose more of their fights, and a Mage, Frost specifically, has several ways to survive a bad opener and either reset the fight or get out of it. Healers fall below their BG positions because staying alive doesn’t necessarily let you kill an attacker or finish your quest if you’re solo.

Beast Mastery Hunter
BM forces the opponent to deal with your pet while you keep shooting and moving. Traps now work in combat, but they share a cooldown, so using a damage trap can leave Freezing Trap unavailable when you need space. If you get the trap priority down, control your pet and maybe get comfortable with weaving, you’re going to be a menace.
Subtlety Rogue
I think it would be fair to say that world PvP is one of the better reasons to play Rogue; they just go hand in hand. Sub is especially good; he gets the opener, can interrupt a heal, and has Preparation for another set to get off another rotation of cooldowns, including Vanish if he has to. Ghostly Strike also lets your next Ambush or Garrote within 7 seconds work without Stealth. That gives you another uncounterable attack after the opener without spending Vanish just to access it.
Frost Mage
Frost handles an unwanted fight way better than most casters. Nova and Cone of Cold create some wiggle room, plus you have a Blink that lets you change position before starting a cast. The mistake is spending every escape just to get one more Frostbolt off. In world PvP, keeping Blink for the Rogue’s next stun can matter more than squeezing out that extra hit.
WoW Forever 1v1 and Duel Tier List

Compared to the world PvP skirmishes, Duels remove the advantage of catching someone at half health beside three mobs. Both players have their cooldowns ready, and neither gets to rely on a healer to cover their kit's weaknesses. That just naturally elevates specs that can survive the opening burst, heal or absorb damage, and keep fighting after that:

Demonology Warlock
Soul Link sends 30% of incoming damage to your demon, making Demo difficult to burst down, and you even have Fear, Death Coil, and pet abilities to interrupt the opponent’s attacks and just make their time fighting you miserable. You have time to deal damage instead of spending the whole duel trying to survive. But the demon is a target too: the launch changes reduced pet health inherited from your Stamina. Letting somebody kill it can cost you Soul Link and your pet’s control abilities together.
Discipline Priest
Disc can absorb damage, heal itself, and dispel your opponent’s buffs without needing a teammate to finish the job. Renewed Hope also rewards healing a target with Weakened Soul, helping shorten the wait for another shield. You still have to manage mana and find room to channel Penance. Fake-cast to bait a kick before committing to that channel.
Frost and Subtlety are the A-Tier picks worth looking at if you prefer winning through control. They can force cooldowns, break contact, and attack again. Enhancement is dangerous too, but landing a big burst doesn’t make every matchup favorable; being unable to reach the target is still a problem.
