How to Use the FC 27 Squad Builder

The FC 27 Squad Builder lets you plan an entire Ultimate Team without opening the game. Choose a formation, fill in players into all 11 positions, and watch the squad rating and chemistry update. You can search through more than 19,000 FC 27 players and narrow the database by position, nation, or overall rating.

1. Choose an FC 27 formation from the menu above the pitch. If you’re unsure, you can refer to the in-depth FC 27 formations guide.

2. Select a position or use the search bar to find a specific player.

3. If you need, you can filter the FC 27 player database by position, nation, or rating.

4. Drag and drop players into their spots on the pitch.

5. Check the live squad rating and chemistry changing at the top of the builder as you use the builder.

6. You can save or share the squad once all 11 positions are filled to use later or share with someone.

I find a squad builder most useful when I already have two or three cards that I want to use but cannot work out the rest of the team just yet. Instead of buying several options and losing Coins to Transfer Market tax, you can test the formation here first. Since you don’t need to open up the actual game, you can theorycraft on the go on your phone.

FC 27 Chemistry: How to Reach 33 Chemistry

The chemistry counter is the most important part of the FC 27 Ultimate Team Squad Builder. Every player can contribute up to three Chemistry Points, giving a complete starting XI a maximum squad total of 33. Cards need to occupy an eligible position before their chemistry becomes active.

From there, look for shared clubs, leagues, and nations across the full squad. You do not need neighboring players to connect through the old colored-link system. That gives you much more freedom, but it can also make the final missing point harder to spot when several thresholds are involved.

When my squad gets stuck below 33 chemistry, I check it in this order:

• Confirm that every card is in an eligible position.

• Count how many players share the same league.

• Look for club links that can solve two positions at once.

• Use nationality links for players from different leagues.

• Replace the hardest isolated card rather than changing half the team.

• Compare the result after every swap instead of making several changes together.

Do not force full chemistry if it makes the team worse. A brilliant card on two Chemistry Points may still offer more than a weaker alternative on three. The builder gives you the number, but you still decide whether the compromise is worth it.

FC 27 Formation Builder for Testing Different Lineups

Formation choice affects which players you can use naturally, so I would settle on the general shape before filling every position. A 4-3-3 gives you natural winger slots, while narrow formations place more pressure on central midfielders and full-backs to cover the width. Two-striker shapes also change the value of forwards who can create as well as finish.

Use the FC 27 Formation Builder to answer practical questions before buying anyone. Can your favorite winger play in the selected shape? Does switching to two strikers create an awkward empty position? Can the midfield protect the back line without forcing an attacking card into a defensive role?

If a formation leaves one expensive player out of position, try another shape before replacing the card. The formation menu rearranges the pitch immediately, which makes comparisons much faster than rebuilding the lineup in-game.

How to Build the Best FC 27 Ultimate Team Squad

When assembling your Ultimate team, what it needs is a good formation with sensible positions for your players, and decent enough chemistry. If you’re new to the game and happen to have a rare player card with high OVR, it’s usually best to build your team around that one player. In short, you have 3 approaches when building your team:

• Rating-first team: Uses the highest-rated cards available, even if it sacrifices lots of Chemistry.

• Chemistry-first team: Prioritizes shared leagues, clubs, and nations to reach as high a Chemistry as possible.

• Balanced team: Keeps the important high-rated cards while using flexible players to complete the links.

I would usually take the balanced option. Chasing rating alone can leave several cards short of their maximum boosts, while forcing chemistry can make you pass over much better footballers. Test both versions in the builder and judge the whole XI rather than one number.

FC 27 Squad Rating Explained

Squad rating gives you a quick summary of the overall quality in the starting XI. It updates as players are added or replaced, so you can see whether a change improves the team on paper. This is especially useful when comparing two cards that solve the same chemistry problem.

Do not treat the rating as a complete power score. It does not explain whether the team lacks pace, defensive coverage, height, or the right Player Roles for your tactics. Use it as a quick comparison alongside chemistry, then inspect the individual players before finalizing the squad.

Save and Share Your FC 27 Squad

Once the lineup is complete, you can use the Save button to keep your setup permanently and Share squad to send it to somebody else. That’s a functional feature other builders online lack that lets you build a perfect squad with your friends.

FC 27 Ultimate Team Squad Builder Features

This is more than an empty pitch with player names placed on top. The widget combines the parts of squad planning that normally require several menus, making it easy to compare different versions of the same team.

The player counter also shows whether the starting XI is complete. If it says 9/11, for example, you still have two empty positions. It sounds basic, but it is useful when you are changing formations and a player slot moves somewhere unexpected.
